Wills, Trusts & Estates

Protecting and Preserving Your Final Wishes and Legacy

Litten & Sipe, LLP is equipped to help you manage your assets, estates, and wills so that your beneficiaries can be taken care of.

Our wills, trusts and estates practice is diverse, ranging from simple wills to complex estate planning. We have been drafting wills for residents of the Shenandoah Valley for over 100 years. Our firm regularly tackles a wide range of issues involved with planning estates to minimize taxation and drafting wills, revocable trusts, advanced medical directives, and power-of-attorney documents.

In estate planning, there is no “one size fits all” approach. We discuss with each client their unique situation, including their financial picture, family dynamics, and any other relevant information. Drawing upon that information and our experience, we propose a custom estate plan that meets the client’s needs, whether that is a simple will, trust, or a more extensive set of estate documents. When appropriate, we assist clients in drafting and implementing trust agreements for special needs, charitable, educational, and other purposes.

We also have considerable experience in estate administration and assisting trustees, executors, and administrators with fulfilling their duties in accordance with the law.
