Jordan Bowman's first dream was to be a full-time rock climber, but being a lawyer turned out to be his true calling. Bowman, who has lived in Harrisonburg for most of his 33 years, spent years learning the law. Now an attorney with Litten & Sipe, he will become a partner on Jan. 1.

Bowman graduated from the College of William and Mary with a law degree and a master's in public policy. His career focuses on local government, which he said helps people with day-to-day operations and specific matters, such as litigation or transactions. He is the attorney for the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission and the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission. He provides legal consultants for the cities of Waynesboro and Winchester, Shenandoah County and the towns of Bridgewater, Dayton, New Market and Luray.
